Telegraph Cottage

(This is the 1st cottage on the left, next to beach)

The 1912 “Telegraph” Cottage, a small two story gingerbread cottage, is situated on the water and is the first cottage you come to on the left as you approach the southern end of the peninsula.

The Telegraph Cottage has a full kitchen (with full oven and stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, etc.), dining room, living room with large picture window overlooking the lake and pull-out couch, a full bathroom with shower downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs with a total of three twin beds.

The cottage comes fully furnished, including sheets, towels, and kitchenware. Overlooking an area of the lake that sees little boat traffic, the Telegraph Cottage has a wraparound porch with several chairs for relaxation. There is a picnic table for use, and there is a natural sandy beach a few yards away shared by us and our other guests. A gas grille located on the porch may be used during your stay.
A bit of history...during the glorious days of the Tallwood Inn at the turn of the century, the Telegraph Cottage was the only place on the peninsula where a message could be sent.
